Amanda and the Spanish Moss

Buy a framed print / See alternate views

Amanda posing near Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia.

This was taken on a foggy night, lit only by streetlights. The exposure was around 8 seconds long. I used D76 1:1 developer (my favorite!), and the negative was scanned with an Imacon drum scanner.

Hi Eddie, A friend of my wife sent her this photo on Facebook. My wife is an amazing woman who suffers from depression and she was blown away by this picture. She said it felt like her facing the world everyday. Are there any prints available?

“Half of the people can be part right all of the time,
Some of the people can be all right part of the time,
But all of the people can’t be all right all of the time.
I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
“I’ll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours.
I said that. ”

I’m either on the verge of artistic relevancy or I’m simply going insane. Fine line, so I hear.

What do you get when you combine bellows with a remote-controlled diffused strobe? I have no clue either.

Several years ago, my cat (who was very old at the time) decided to bounce. Never saw her again. In my head, this is her, exploring, alive and kickin’ it.

More pictures of Brooke are in the works. She has gorgeous artwork on her sleeves, completely hidden from view in this photo. The next photo of her will remedy that.

Self portraits are weird. This was my first, and will probably be my last!

Eddie’s Cafe – San Francisco, CA

Not for sale

For your convenience, I’ve included a bulleted list of WHY THIS PHOTO IS AWESOME:

  • Eddie’s Cafe. That’s my name! And I even like the typeface!
  • Eddie’s Cafe serves breakfast all day. This is never, ever a bad thing.
  • There is graffiti of a three-eyed panda alien.
  • The three-eyed-panda alien is holding three bananas, two of which have four eyes.

What you don’t see in the picture: The three-eye panda alien has an entourage. The wall extends, and there are 4 or 5 of them all hanging out, all the way down to the end of the building. Awesome.

The second image in this series of three. It was made with much love and care.

Landscapes; so temperamental! Duotoned with a dash of sepia and a dash of selenium.

Pacific Coast III

The most beautiful coastlines in the country. This picture should be in color — I might make a second version later.

This is going to be a series of 3; Pacific Coast I and II are next.

I’m in love with this victorian couch. This image is a composite; the model and couch were photographed in my house, the ground is from a dirty warehouse, and the background is a separately photographed backdrop.

Shot with a Canon 5D Mark II, and lit with a 4×4 softbox.
